Movie Reviews

Like I alot of people I have the Blockbuster movie by mail system. I don't take full advantage of this because I don't have an instore membership so I can't just walk in return a movie and get a new one but that is besides the point.

This week I got Zombieland, Knowing and Paranormal Activity.

First Zombieland was awesome. It was funny, had some funny kill scenes, Woody is awesome and has accepted this is where his career has brought him. The main character is the nerdy looking guy who was also in Adventureland, I think that was the name of it, with Kristen Stewart so he is doing pretty well for himself now getting paired with Emma Stone in this movie. Also had a scene with Amanda Heard, I suggest you google her. But how awesome is it to have Abigail Breslin, who really is the IT child actor being in countless adult feel good movies now shooting at zombies and probably having more fun during this movie then she has the rest of her life. I highly recommend this movie, I give it 4 caskets on my 5 casket scale.

Now the biggest piece of crap I have ever seen and the sad part is I know I will never get the time I spent watching this movie back. I was so annoyed by this movie that I couldn't even fall asleep cause I couldn't figure out where it was going. Don't see Knowing, ever. Nicholas Cage and Rose Byrne reminded me of Mark Wahlberg and Zooey what's her name in the Happening. Just bad, might be the worse end of the world type movie ever. Idea was good but they just threw in too much crap. It seemed liked the writers probably had a bunch of notecards facedown on a table and he just kept flipping them over to get ideas. This receives the 6 feet under rating because everything about this movie should be buried and never be seen from again.

Now the wild card, Paranormal Activity. First off it is not a true story. It is the new Blair Witch. At some points I was bored out of my mind but I couldn't stop watching. After the movie I had to look up info about the movie to see what else there is out there. I have seen 3 different endings and I have heard there might be a 4th one out there somewhere. I don't want to give too much away about this movie because the more you know the more it will ruin the film but I think it was very well done. It will also receive the 4 out of 5 casket rating.

Next week review will include the latest Saw movie, I think number 6 but I'm sure number 7 isn't far behind and maybe some new releases.

Also fanhuddle might be showing some signs of life so please go check out the site and be patient with the speed.

  1. If you had seen Paranormal Activity when it first came out and was "real," then it was scary. I will have to see Zombieland. It is on my Netflix list. Netflix > Blockbuster, by the way. I feel I have to see Knowing just so I can judge it and rip it apart myself.

  2. Do not see Knowing it was so bad. I can tell you what happens and you will be pissed but if you really want to waste 2 hours to be more pissed off go right ahead. You have been warned
